In Nursery, maths is part of everything we explore - Every Single Day!
This week, we’ve been using Autumn and Halloween-themed activities, along with the children’s own interests, to explore a wonderful range of maths concepts and early mathematical language. 🎃🍂
Whether it’s pouring and filling in the water tray, sorting and counting conkers and acorns, building and knocking down towers, or comparing the size and weight of pumpkins, our little learners are always discovering maths through play.
We use mathematical language naturally throughout the day — talking about big and small, full and empty, more and less, and counting everything from leaves to pumpkins! These playful, hands-on experiences help build strong foundations in number, shape, space, and measure.
Maths is everywhere in our Nursery — in every activity, every game, and every curious conversation. 🌟
