A Week in the Life of a Busy P7K child!

7th Nov 2025
This week has been filled with excellent learning experiences! So much so that we didn't want to fill the website with multiple posts!

Monday: We started with Mr Murphy teaching us to use the iPads. We were able to draw on our skills from the WAU lessons on Bridges. This time we drew bridges on the ipad and used our super technology skills to make the bridges move!

Monday Afternoon: The children had the pleasure of being invited to a very special performance of 'Oklahoma' in St Colman's College! This time we took a walk across to St Colman's and the show was a real treat. The children were engaged throughout the show and loved the songs! Well done to the pupils of St Colman's College for their wonderful show!

Tuesday Morning: We had the pleasure of 'Lego Spike' lessons. We had to work in teams, this time we had to build, communicate, share ideas and code using the ipads. We are so lucky to have access to such wonderful technology and enjoy the lessons Mr Galloghly has prepared for us. This program will be continuing for another few weeks.

Tuesday Afternoon: We had the lovely Joanne Callahan come to school to teach us some relaxation techniques. Joanne is a Relax Kids coach, she was able to demonstrate how our brains work and how to do some 'Chill Skills' these lessons are a valuable lesson to have. The art of resilience is something we will be working on throughout the year.

Wednesday Morning: This time our learning was online! We had the pleasure of taking part in a 'Smokebusters' lesson. This lesson was delivered online and the children participated with great enthusiasm!
