This week, Primary 6 have been learning all about compass points. To help us remember the 4 main points, we used mnemonics, such as ‘Naughty Elephants Squirt Water’.
We labelled the classroom walls North, East, South and West and each corner as North East, South East, South West and North West. We then practiced turning to the given angle/ fraction.
To further our understanding, we looked at map of Ireland, and identified the position of different counties.
To finish, we even incorporated the topic into our PE.
