Return to school P7 pupils return to school on 26th August and are also in 27th, 28th, 29th August 9am-11am only. P1 pupils start school on 26th August and are following the timetable given out at P1 Induction Day. Nursery pupils start school on 27th August and are following the timetable given out at Nursery Induction Day. P2- P7 return to school on August 29th 9am-11am. P2- P7 are in full time hours from September 1st 2025.

Calculating the Area of Shapes- P.1 Miss Cunningham's Class 😀

This week the children were introduced to the concept of area as the idea of covering a surface. At the beginning of the week the boys and girls calculated the area of a range of shapes using cm2. The children calculated the area of a number of items around the classroom, for example, 2D shapes, books and rulers. After that, using the dimensions provided the children drew their own shapes. The boys and girls had great fun this week calculating the area of shapes.
