In Primary 2 we celebrated a special day; the feast of St Brigid.
We celebrated St Brigid’s life and how she infused values in her life through her openness, generosity, respect and her desire to share Good News. We remember St Brigid in a special way on 1st February each year, and this date marks the first day of Spring.
The children discussed ways to be kind and what we can do both inside and outside of school to show an act of kindness.
We listened to a beautiful poem:

Kind feet
Kind words

Are kind

And I’ll

You’ll see.
Primary 2 made St Brigid’s crosses from rushes and have taken them home to have them blessed and hang them in their houses.
