Mrs Kearney’s P2 pupils had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a Christmas workshop at Newry and Mourne Museum. The children explored the fascinating world of toys from the past and present in a specially designed toy room. They also enjoyed making their very own Christmas decorations and learned about how Christmas traditions have changed over time, including the many names for Santa Claus. A highlight of the visit was trying on a historic blue Santa suit— a glimpse into how Santa's appearance has evolved over time!
To add to the festive cheer, we had a surprise visit at school from the man himself—Santa Claus! Each boy and girl was delighted to receive a chocolate lolly as a special treat!
