For our ‘Wonder’ novel work this week, Mrs Kearney’s pupils assumed the roles of August and his dad, delving into the reasons for and against August going to school. Throughout the debate the pupils discussed the challenges and opportunities that school presents for individuals like August. From the joys of friendship and learning to the hurdles of bullying and acceptance. The debate brought about great discussions! Pupils demonstrated empathy and great understanding. Well done!
