Exploring Weather in P3 JM
21st Jan 2026
P3 had a fun time taking part in a World Around Us lesson on weather with Miss Brennan. The children began the lesson by learning about different weather symbols and discussing what each one represents. They then explored the weather forecast for our local area, talking about how the weather can change from day to day.
To develop their understanding further the children designed and created their own weather wheels which they can use to identify and describe different types of weather. The class also learned about the water cycle and made their own models which were stuck the windows. This will allow the children to observe over time how water evaporates and changes.
It was a very engaging and hands on lesson and the children showed great enthusiasm and curiosity. Well done P3!
