Green Day, Famine and Gaelic in P7!

22nd Mar 2026

Last week the primary 7 children were learning about our  history and Culture!

Joining together to celebrate St Patrick's day. Our Primary 7 classes learned to sing Ireland's Call. You can watch their spine tingling performance on our social media page. To prepare the children hand-drew A3 flags, something hardly any adult would have struggled to concentrate on! A stunning final touch.

We were also very lucky to have the very talented Mr Galloghly give us a special talk on the Famine and the memorials around the country. We listened and asked questions and discussed our knowledge and understanding on the topic to date.

The sun has finally decided to make an appearance and with that we were able to have our first Gaelic session on the grass pitch! Great to see a spot of sunshine and the children being able to play the sport as it is intended - on the grass!

To finish the week we celebrated our Service of Light, in a beautiful ceremony led by Fr Carlos.

Well done to the Primary 7 children as they proceed into Confirmation preparation.
