In numeracy this week the children were introduced to the analogue clock for the first time. The boys and girls were very keen to learn all about the clock and how it helps us to tell the time during different stages of the day. We discussed how the clock has the numbers one to twelve around the outside and two hands, a shorter hand to measure hours and a longer hand to measure minutes.
We also talked about different stages of the day, for example, morning, afternoon, evening and night. The children enjoyed working practically with a partner to make a variety of o’clock times. Take a look at us in action! 💚💛
