This week the children were introduced to a new topic in numeracy called ‘money’. The boys and girls have been learning all about the 1p coin. We talked about its value, size, shape and colour. To test their mathematical and counting skills they got to visit the classroom sweet shop. One by one the children counted out how many 1p coins they needed to purchase a sweet of their choice.
