The Primary 4's made the most of the good weather on Friday, by taking their learning outdoors. The children were tasked with a sensory scavenger hunt, where they got to explore each of their 5 senses by investigating areas around the school. The children then reported their findings, with emphasis on using exciting adjectives throughout the process. Once the children had completed their reports, we headed back into the classroom to present their ideas to the rest of their peers.
This lesson held many cross curricular links for the Primary 4 children, between their Literacy and ‘The World Around Us’ topics. The children were able to extend their written and oral vocabulary whilst investigating nature and our previous topic of 'Weatherworx'.
The Primary 4 boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and produced some fantastic pieces of work. Well done everyone! 🌳 🍃
