Our nursery children have been busy exploring clay as part of our dinosaur topic, inspired by their growing interest in fossils. The children loved getting hands-on, pressing and printing dinosaur bones into the clay to create their very own fossil impressions. As they worked, the children used new language such as "fossil" and "excavate," as well as words like "press" and "imprint" to describe what they were doing. They enjoyed naming different dinosaurs, and some of them were quite a mouthful - the children had great fun teaching the adults how to say them correctly! They talked confidently about what they were doing, proudly sharing their finished work with their friends. We're excited to see their work displayed for everyone to enjoy.
