Our Super Skilled P7K class!
What a busy week we have had!
We started back with Ewan and Yvonne from "Fixing Things" we talked about our community and what it meant to us, what we like in our community and what is not good for our community. Ewan and Yvonne will work with us for 4 weeks, helping us learn conflict resolution skills. Vital for our children moving on next year.
Pancake Tuesday was a brilliant reason to stop and eat! Who doesnt love a pancake!
On Wednesday we received our Ashes and the Primary 7 class took time to pause and reflect in a quiet classroom. An important time for our P7 children as they prepare for their Confirmation.
Our topic Hunger has now started to link back to the Great Famine. We looked at the book "Under the Hawthorn Tree" which we will start reading next week. With a beautiful art to start our lessons on the book!
Numeracy was great fun as we worked in groups using Izak9. We had 3 seconds to look at a number sequence. Our teams then had 1 minute to organise the numbers. The room was buzzing as our teams worked hard to plan, organise and work together to get it right.
A great week of fun, learning and plenty of laughter! I can't wait to see what next week holds!
