Our P3 children had great fun learning about and making volcanoes as part of their World Around Us topic: The Natural World.
The children used a plastic bottle to support the cardboard and stuck this around the bottle to make the volcanic shape. They then took turns to paint their volcanoes.
Using baking soda, fairy liquid, white vinegar and food colouring the children were able to create a volcanic eruption, just like the many videos they watched when learning how and why volcanoes erupt.
The children's faces say it all! Although it's also very clear who didn't like the smell of vinegar!
