Last week, Mr McClorey's class learned about 'Green Energy' as part of our Climate Change topic. We investigated the different types of green energy, such as solar panels and wind turbines. The children worked in groups to design and make their own model wind turbine from recycled / upcycled materials. Each group then tested their model in front of a fan, and finally tried to make improvements to their model so that it worked more effectively. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and demonstrated their creativity.
