Mrs Kearney’s class have been revising recognising and correctly forming the alphabet sounds ‘g, o, u, l, f, b’ this week. They enjoyed using the Jolly Phonics programme to sing action songs and think of things beginning with each sound. The pupils are beginning to build cvc, cvcc and ccvc words with their known sounds. We focused on the word endings ‘-at, -en, -ug, -in and -et’ and the pupils worked in teams to create rhyming strings.
