This week in the nursery, the children enjoyed planting their own cress seeds! We talked about what plants need to grow, including sunlight, water, and care. The children carefully filled their pots with compost, sprinkled in the seeds, and watered them gently, showing great excitement in each step of planting their seeds.
We are looking forward to observing the changes in our cress as it begins to grow over the next few weeks. The children are excited to look after their plants and learn all about the life cycle of a plant through a hands-on experience.
Planting activities help to develop fine motor skills, communication and curiosity, and understanding of the world- all while having lots of fun!
We can’t wait to see whose cress will grow the tallest over the next few weeks! 🌱🌱🌱
