Primary 2 have been enjoying Zog by Julia Donaldson this week as part of our literacy work. The story was a great way to explore rhyming strings, and the children loved spotting the rhyming words as we read together.
In small groups, the class created posters for the rhyming families: –og, –at, –ug, –in, and –et. They worked brilliantly in their teams, thinking of rhyming words, sounding them out, and illustrating their ideas.
