As part of our World Book Day celebrations, P2 enjoyed listening online via the Scholastic website to the author, Kael Tudor, read the story Ten Tiny Squirrels. After the story, the class took part in a step‑by‑step directed drawing session, learning how to draw one of the bears from the book. The pupils concentrated so well and produced some fantastic artwork, each adding their own creative touches. They were very proud to show off their finished bear drawings!
The pupils also worked in small groups to create their own story cubes, designing pictures for characters, settings, and superpowers. Once the cubes were completed, we had great fun rolling them to generate imaginative story ideas.
